Grace~

Freshman year! Yes, my determined Pooh is entering her high school years with a plan and focused. She asked to start Latin this year – I love to hear her walking around the house sounding like she is muttering to herself all the time.

For someone who keeps us thinking she isn’t paying attention to details much of the time – she is still flying through math.  It’s amazing how each girl is so different in what makes them click!

This summer has been a stretching summer for Grace. Her character has been tested on many levels.

Through the knee injury, the finding of a benign tumor in her leg, therapy, other medical issues, and now a problem with her foot, she has had to learn patience with physical issues. Waiting isn’t a hallmark of life when you’re 14 years old.

I talked with Grace about some things she has learned this summer and some goals for the upcoming school year. She said one of the important lessons God has shown her is that living on the edge or trying to do something that isn’t pleasing to God will get you into trouble! She is also realizing that God uses many things to get people’s attention.

Some  of the areas that she would like to grow in are:

     *Understanding the Bible better

     *Becoming a better volleyball player

     *Sharing her faith with boldness

     *Learning to play the guitar

     *Improving her people skills

Pooh, I pray that as your desire for Christ grows you will indeed be able to shine as light to those around you!

“So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fulness of God.”   Ephesians 3:17-19….Grace Marie’s Blessing~

Enjoy your Freshman year sweetie!

Love,

Mommy
