Lone Ranger

Tucked away on the edge of our woods I found this single little half-open Jonquil. Everything around it was brown and still showing the effects of winter. There in the midst of bleakness, stood one lone, small, bright flower – lending beauty to the landscape.

It made me think about how often we are planted in places that our faith in Christ stands in stark contrast to the environment around us. How do we appear to those looking on? Do we shine as a light, bright and warm – drawing others to the Life of Christ in us? Sometimes it is tough to stand-alone – to stand out in a crowd…sometimes that is when beauty shines at it’s best.

“Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
